DRY SKIN

WHAT IS DRY SKIN ACTUALLY?

Many people suffer from dry skin and if you are one of them then your skin needs your help. Dry skin is also known as a dry condition or sebostasis. The terms problem skin, sensitive or sensitive skin are often used as synonyms. Since the skin is usually very thin, dry skin often occurs together with hypersensitivity to external influences and a high level of sensitivity. Dry skin is caused by a greatly reduced sebum production and this in turn causes your protective hydrolipid film to become unstable because the water-binding properties of sebum are missing. As a side symptom, dry skin is often fine-pored, thin or even scaly and rough. A severely reduced sebum production makes the protective hydrolipid film of your skin unstable because the water-binding properties of sebum are missing.

FIND THE RIGHT CARE

Tip 1: Clean your skin only once a day.

Less is definitely more here. Therefore, only use our cleansing oil in the evening before going to bed and avoid a second cleansing in the morning. It protects your skin barrier and gently removes make-up, dirt and deposits from your skin without drying it out.

Tip 2: Use our oleogel.

Use our Oleogel Original morning and evening. Our oleogel is a water-free care product based on lipids. It allows the skin moisture to rise slowly during use and no water is supplied from the outside. It also reduces the skin's transepidermal water loss.

Tip 3: Only use lukewarm water.

Water that is too hot damages your skin's natural protective barrier. That's why you shouldn't wash your dry skin, which needs a lot of support anyway, too hot and thereby stress it out. By the way, this applies to your whole body in the shower or bath.

Tip 4: Give your skin extra moisture.

Apply our Hyaluronic Face Mask once a week. The natural minerals provide gentle cleansing and draw out impurities without stripping the skin of its natural moisture, making this mask ideal for dry skin. TIP: Mix it with honey and yoghurt.
