Late again after practice? Or do you feel the need to get fresh and clean again as quickly as possible? We all know these situations. But regardless of whether you're considering skipping the shower after exercise or hopping straight into the shower from your last exercise, there are a few reasons against both.

There are some common mistakes when showering after exercise. If you follow some of our advice, your body will feel even better after a hard workout.

Exercising is generally very good for your skin, as sweating detoxifies and delivers oxygen and nutrients to your skin. However, if we leave the layer of sweat on our skin, dirt, oil, often old make-up and a colorful mix of bacteria that is on the training equipment can also stick to your skin. Incorrect or no skin care and cleaning can lead to pimples, blackheads and dry, itchy skin. Areas where sweat collects more often, such as the back and chest (especially thanks to sports bras and possibly the wrong sportswear), are particularly affected.

If sweat lingers on your skin after your workout, it can clog your pores and allow bacteria and skin fungus to multiply. This can lead to rashes and breakouts. So let's take a closer look at each aspect:

When should you shower after training?
Washing off the sweat right away doesn't mean running off the treadmill into the shower. Take a few minutes to slowly cool down your body temperature.
How should you shower after a workout?
There is no uniform recommendation as far as the water temperature is concerned. It depends on the state of health, the previous workout and many other factors. Most studies suggest taking a cold shower relatively soon after intense exercise (after a few minutes of cooling off) to prevent muscle soreness. In addition, cold showers have been credited with enhancing the effects of exercise and promoting better performance in the next workout.

But every body reacts differently. Others, on the other hand, can relax better with warm water. So when it comes to water temperature, the only way is to test what will best help you recover from your workout!

With which products?
  • Natural, unscented shower gel
  • A light scrub to cleanse the skin
  • Avoid products with harsh ingredients (such as Sodium Lauryl Sulfate or alcohol-based wipes) - over-cleansing can also dry out your skin
  • Only use natural and paraben-free products

The PureBee Body Scrubs are therefore ideal for gently cleaning your skin after a workout and supplying it with all the nutrients. The delicate sugar crystals in our PureBee Body Scrubs dissolve as you massage your skin. This thoroughly removes sweat and gently cleans pores without washing the skin's natural oils.

The natural ingredients have a moisturizing effect without clogging the pores again and leave your skin soft and clean - even when you're in a hurry!
